For purely aesthetic end finishes, the strip can be discreetly secured with 50mm nails, spaced approximately 600mm apart. Alternatively, screws can be used for a more robust attachment.

If you plan to hang a lightweight gate from the post, we advise screwing the strip at 300mm intervals along its entire length before setting the post in concrete. This provides the necessary reinforcement for gate support.
